London welcomes thousands of visitors during the third week of January for the International Casino Conference (ICE) at the massive exhibition centre in Earls Court. This is another reason why the combined Mobile and Legal Summit conferences are held two days prior to ICE.

Surely, sanity should prevail and steps taken by the US Senate to wholeheartedly legitimise the online gaming industry.

This month saw the indictment of the chief executive of BetonSports an Online Sportsbook with a USD6 billion turnover mainly targeting the US market. Mr Carruthers, was arrested while changing planes en route from London to his new home in Costa Rica. The charges on himself and his associates include items such as aiding and abetting online gaming in US.

Italian blockade may harm SmartCity


Once the data superhighway is impacted by the Italian internet blockage in Milan there is a possibility that it can slow Malta’s vital communication link to the outside world

In a protectionist move, Italy has blocked over 100 Malta-licensed internet gaming sites which they consider to be illegal. This comes in the wake of Italy's recent budget, which decreed to block all online gaming sites which are not licensed in Italy.
